The "You x Me" crooner who is out with a new EP titled "Darryl" debuted a new hairstyle at the just ended Golden Movie Awards Africa and immediately started trending.

Joey who performed several of his hit songs, took the stage at the Movenpick Hotel with a well layered dyed hair.

Even though his hairstyle isn't new to many fans, his first stage appearance since it was done caused a stir on social media over the weekend.

Interestingly, fellow musician and TV star, Sister Derbie started the buzz by comparing it to a pestle.

Aside from that, his hair was compared to Rashida Black Beauty's hairstyle in the upcoming "Noko Fio" TV series.
